What People Say…

“In my mind’s eye . . . Abeba

If you were to stroll through the spice market of an eastern bazaar one day and meet up with our friend, Abeba, you’d see how comfortably and happily she navigates the busy, noisy, and colorful marketplace. Perhaps she has a particularly unusual and delightfully spiced dish in mind for us. Woven straw baskets of yellow, lavender, crimson, and orange-colored spices, the names which conjure up images of fascinating cuisines, beckon; and Abeba would quietly describe how she would incorporate these in a fragrant and distinctive dish for you. Yellow and orange curries, paprika, exotic deep-red saffron threads, cinnamon sticks, turmeric, and blue fenugreek, amongst a great variety of enticing and unusual spices, represent all that we imagine in a magical Middle Eastern culinary experience.

Abeba is comfortable in many cultures and enjoys a wealth of knowledge about the music, language, literature, and especially the food of many countries. She is a stunning woman with a great eye for color. Her sophisticated outfits in orange, purple, lime, and yellow reflect her love of the unusual and the many exotic lands where she has lived and traveled.

In your mind’s eye, think of Abeba in those exotic places enthralled with the magic of ‘One Thousand and One Nights.’ She will be your guide to preparing a collection of delicious, unique, and satisfying
dishes. Ahlan Wa’Sah’lan!! Welcome!”
